This little known walk is not the largest but it does provide beautiful views and a very unique landscape for dog walk. I often come here for dog walking and for daycare and the dogs seem to love it. There are lots of smaller paths that you can take that can double or triple the walk length if you prefer so there is something for everyone!

You can use the quarry car park although this is still an active quarry just at a far smaller scale than it used to be, I go anti clockwise on this circular route as I think it is nice to end it with a cool view. At the start you just follow the path parallel to the old railway line but once you start going left you’ll be treated to fantastic views of North and mid Cornwall as far as Roche. The cliffs here are steep and loose so kids might need to be told to be careful! After walking through the alien-like landscape you’ll get back to the car park unless you decide to walk around the whole quarry which is also a brilliant walk. There is a viewing platform that looks down into the pit which has a bright blue pool at the bottom and makes for a brilliant eye catcher.
