'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse But down in the kitchen, a waggy-tailed pup Was dreaming of treats, and a holiday romp As the stockings were hung by the chimney with care The pup couldn't help but sniff and stare At the shiny ornaments, and twinkling lights He knew that this Christmas would be a delight But while the holidays bring cheer and joy They can also be a bit of a mixed ploy For our furry friends, who may feel the strain Of all the activity, and unfamiliar faces and names So as you deck the halls, and trim the tree Remember to keep your dog's safety in mind, you see Keep treats out of reach, and decorations off the floor And if things get hectic, give your pup an open door To a quiet retreat, where they can relax and rest Away from the hustle, and all of the stress And don't forget to keep up with their care Regular walks, and playtime, to show them you're there So here's to a happy and healthy holiday season For all of the waggy-tailed, four-legged reason May your days be merry, and your nights be bright Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
